Outstanding Special Teams Player Award
Junior Kicker / Punter, SAM COSTA
Sam averaged 35.4 yards per punt on 30 punts, 20 out of 20 on extra points, 8 out of 11 on field goals including a 42 yarder, and led the team in scoring with 44 points. Sam had 5 touchbacks on kick-offs in Game 9 versus Charlotte High School.
Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award
Senior Center / Long Snapper, A.J. FISHER.
A.J. earned this honor for his effort, consistent performance and leadership on the offensive line. He was also a valuable asset as a long snapper on special teams.
Outstanding Defensive Lineman Award
Senior Defensive End, JON MURRAY.
He earned the award for his consistent performance, week in and week out, on the defensive line. Jon finished the season with 27 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1-1/2 sacks, 2 quarterback pressures, and 1 recovered fumble.
Outstanding Offensive Player Award
Junior Quarterback, SAM THURSTON
A natural leader and fierce competitor who led the team in passing yards with 1,026 and 1,115 yards of total offense, threw 6 touchdown passes and had 4 rushing touchdowns.
Outstanding Defensive Player Award
Junior Inside Linebacker, DAVID RAINE
Led the team in production points on defense. Tied with Junior Middle Linebacker, Tristan Gibbs, as the leading tackler on the team with 74 total tackles. David also had 5 quarterback pressures, 2 pass break-ups, 1 interception, forced 2 fumbles and recovered 2 fumbles.
